The Tweed Regional Gallery Foundation Ltd. raises funds to develop the Gallery's Collection, and support the presentation of major exhibitions and community-based education and public programs for diverse audiences.  It is through the generosity and philanthropy of individuals and businesses that we are able to sustain and develop the collection and support the success of the Gallery and the enjoyment of the communities of the Tweed Region and our visitors.

Under the Australian Government's Cultural Gifts Program the Australian Taxation Office now provides tax incentives to encourage gifts of culturally significant items from private collections to public institutions. This program has greatly enhanced the Gallery’s collection.

There are numerous ways that you can personally support the Gallery’s activities and contribute to a project or area that is of special interest to you. These include:

  1. Donations of cash, property or other assets
  2. Making a bequest or legacy in a will
  3. Gifting art through the Cultural Gifts Program
  4. Become a Foundation Member

Further information about bequests

By giving to Tweed Regional Art Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre you are helping the Gallery fulfil its bold vision into the future.

The following wording for leaving a bequest is provided as a guide only. We strongly recommend that you seek independent legal advice when writing or updating your Will.

"I give to Tweed Regional Gallery Foundation Ltd. ABN. 29 003 230 073, supporting the Tweed Regional Art Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre, for its general purposes, free of all duties, [insert amount OR percentage of estate OR residue of estate] for which an authorised receipt from the Treasurer will be a sufficient discharge at law for my executor(s) or trustee."

Broad, unrestricted bequests are always the most helpful, however if you are considering restricting your legacy to a specific purpose or leaving a work of art for our collection, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your plans before you commit them to a Will, to ensure that your wishes can be met.
