Join the artist for an exhibition walk-through of Maria Fernanda Cardoso: Spiders of Paradise developed and toured by the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. Learn more about the artistic process behind her stunning photographic series and video On the Origins of Art I-II (2016).

Bring the whole family along to this popular annual event in the grounds of the Tweed Regional Gallery. Enjoy live music, free art activities for kids and make your own artwork en plein air inspired by spectacular views of Wollumbin and the Tweed River.
Guest artist Hobie Porter will make work in response to the stunning landscape and be on hand to mentor artists and chat with visitors. Children and families can explore cultural connections to place, create artworks with artist Jason King and learn to weave with artist Kyra Togo. Live music performed on the day by CJ Shaw and Rachel by the Stream.
So pack your picnic basket, a blanket and your paints and join us for an inspiring day of art, music, connection and community. No bookings required.
Artist Paint Out: Artists are invited to come along and set up to work en plein air overlooking the stunning Tweed River and Wollumbin – more information.
