For a lovely treat on Sunday 21 May, head to the Tweed Regional Gallery, Murwillumbah.

Join the Murwillumbah Philharmonic Choir as they reprise the pieces from the very special performance Tumbulgum and the Countdown to Midnight at the First Supper Between Now and Forever. The production, held at Tumbulgum Hall last December, was created in association with Opera Queensland and Arts Northern Rivers.

The choir will sing from 11.00-11.25am and their program includes traditional sea shanties, folk songs and the Humming Chorus from Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. In keeping with the original performance the choir will be performing around the edges of the Gallery’s spacious foyer - and the public invited to move and mingle in the space as they look and shop and pause to listen.

The choir will be followed by Unumgar duo Watling & Bates. Dr Kym Watling and Mr Geoffrey Bates will wander the Galleries from 11.30am to 12noon performing original songs on fiddle and banjo. All are invited to enjoy this music as an adjunct to their visit rather than a sit down concert.
