Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre invites groups from preschool – year 2 to visit the Gallery and explore the exhibition Baabinje’s Backyard.
The exhibition features the original illustrations by Dr Bronwyn Bancroft AM (Bundjalung) and the words by author Ella Noah Bancroft (Bundjalung) from their celebrated children’s book Baabinje’s Backyard.
Students will join an engaging session that includes an exhibition visit, yarning and artmaking. The program is led by local Aboriginal artists, Deidre Currie (Minyungbal) and Kyra Togo (Minyungbal, Tagalaka and South Sea Islands).
Each group will also receive a copy of the book Baabinje’s Backyard to support their learning back in the classroom.
